  • What does Quality Roots do?

    Quality Roots is a Canadian-Liberian trade brokerage. We connect Canadian craft chocolatiers with Liberian single-origin cocoa, Liberian hospitality buyers with Canadian premium spirits and icewine, and Canadian producers with established buyer relationships in Liberia. We earn a commission only when a transaction closes.

  • What products does Quality Roots broker?

    We work with three product flows: LCC Organic certified Liberian single-origin cocoa for Canadian craft chocolatiers; premium Canadian craft spirits and icewine for Liberian hospitality properties; and a general outbound channel for Canadian specialty food producers seeking Liberian market entry. All products must meet quality and documentation standards before we represent them.

  • How does Quality Roots earn money?

    We earn a brokerage commission on completed transactions only. The standard range is 5 to 8 percent of the FOB transaction value. There is no retainer, no upfront fee, and no cost if a deal does not close. Our incentive is aligned with yours: we are paid when you complete a successful trade.

  • Does Quality Roots work with buyers or sellers, or both?

    Both. On the Canadian side, we work with craft chocolatiers buying Liberian cocoa, and with craft distillers and icewine producers selling into the Liberian hospitality market. On the Liberian side, we work with hospitality procurement managers sourcing premium Canadian imports. Each engagement is structured separately based on which side of the corridor you sit on.
